English rose and other flowers

This year we have a lot of rain in the spring time, and all the flowers are doing extraordinarily well. The English rose, Evelynn has clusters of flowers and everywhere you look there are blooms in the garden. The fragrance of the roses are so exquisite and the imagery reminds me of the floral furniture covers.....you know, the ones they call "chinoiserie" or the french country style decorations...romantic, isn't it?

Spring comes to our backyard

New baby Sara's arrival has trapped me indoors. It seems like all of a sudden Spring has come and all the flowers in the yard are blooming, even the lily of the valley is happily giving our its fragrance. Thanks to the abnormal amount of rain this season, all the lavenders have grown to twice its previous size and the citrus scented geranium has taken over the plot under my window.
